This portal allows users to share maps, data, and dessiminate information about the geospatial data (metadata) to enhance the awareness about geospatial data availability. It also facilitate access to geospatial information that is categorised as free and open to promote the utilization of geospatial data in different applications.
The Portal has been developed by Center for GIS Coordination and National Land Commission of Royal Government of Bhutan with the support from SERVIR-Himalaya and International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD). The SERVIR-Himalaya is a joint initiative of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and ICIMOD.
